BUCCAL & FACE SCULPTING
This treatment is focused on the muscles on the outside and inside of the mouth which targets the lips, lower face, jaw and jowls. Created by Yakov Gershkovich, this Sculptural Lifting Technique includes highly therapeutic intra-oral/buccal massage. The benefits of Buccal Massage are numerous and profound on many levels. This procedure can provide similar results to those of dermal fillers but without the needles and potential side effects connected to medical treatments or any downtime from these medical treatments. Benefits include sculpting, lifting, definition, softening of fine lines and wrinkles, lymphatic drainage and detoxification, deep relaxation of the facial muscles, stimulation of collagen and elastin, smooth and supple skin and chronic pain relief!
Buccal Face Massage
Buccal massage is technique that targets the lips, lower face, and jaw area. It is a preventative and corrective technique that blends facial sculpting massage with an intra-oral massage (performed inside of the mouth). This technique allows access for manipulation to reach the deeper layers of the muscle tissues and ligaments.
Buccal massage involves massaging pressure points inside the mouth to stimulate the muscles and ligaments in the buccal fat pad (between the cheeks and the jowls) to tighten and contour the area. This procedure can provide similar results to those of dermal fillers but without the needles and potential side effects connected to medical treatments or any downtime from these medical treatments.
We suggest having buccal massage performed regularly (6-8 sessions in the first few months) but most clients see results within just the first treatment!
When facial muscles tighten and stiffen due to stress, injury, medical disorders or TMJ, the tissue doesn’t receive enough nutrients and oxygen and it inhibits healthy blood flow. This contributes to puffiness, drooping, sagging, and a dull complexion. Buccal massage resolves these issues, providing numerous skin benefits.

The treatment is normally very comfortable. However, if you have a lot of jaw tension, you may experience some discomfort during the massage. Usually it's a good, therapeutic discomfort, but we will always check to see if the pressure is okay and adjust accordingly.
Will it help my TMJ or Jaw pain?
Yes! A Buccal massage is a wonderful way to relax and support healthy muscle function in the jaw area and relieve associated TMJ pain caused by clenching and grinding your teeth!.
